A perfect addition to a home library, study, office or “away room”, the Purist System allows you to stream all your digital music to a great sounding pair of self amplified speakers with a top notch studio pedigree.

The Purist System holds true to the “less is more” principle, being comprised of a Logitech Squeezebox Classic and a pair of AVI’s self amplified Active Neutron 4 speakers.  The Squeezebox Classic works as your Network Music Player (either in wired or wireless configuration), allowing you to play all the music stored in your iTunes library, listen to thousands of internet radio stations* and stream your favorite music services like Pandora®* or Rhapsody®*.  Choosing which of these options to listen to, and how loud you would like them to play, is as easy as pointing and clicking on your PC, or pushing the appropriate button on the included IR handset.

All of the Squeezebox Classic capabilities would be for naught if The Purist System was not capable of carrying you away with the music - fortunately the AVI Active Neutron 4 Loudspeakers are much more than capable in this regard!  The Neutron 4 has earned excellent reviews, numerous awards and serious accolades from the HiFi and Professional Audio press in their native UK, continental Europe and Japan.  Highly regarded for their class leading clarity, detail and dynamic capabilities, the Neutron 4 will present your music with a richer, three dimensional image than you imagined possible at the price.  Added to the Neutron 4 is the purpose built AVI Amp Pak 150 watt amplifiers.

Derived from the award winning AVI Lab Series S21MAv2 215 WPC component stereo power amplifier, the Amp Pak is designed specifically to work with the AVI Monitor Series two way loudspeakers.  Because AVI designed the Neutron 4, they know the exact demands these speakers will present to their driving amplifier.  AVI‘s designers were able to adapt the input and output stage circuitry from their top of the line Lab Series power amplifier, without the necessity for the oversized power supply, multistage protection circuits and heavy duty chassis required of their top notch all purpose amp.  With the Amp Pak driving the Neutron 4, you get 90% of the sound quality at about 50% of the price that you would experience with the S21MAv2!
